Anna Mae Aquash was a passionate and outspoken First Nations activist and one of the few female leaders of the American Indian Movement of the 1970s. In the wake of her brutal murder, blame was thrown in every direction but lips ultimately remained sealed. Thirty years later, some of those on the inside might find the courage to break their silence.
